The Wave approaches

As the Wave of Prayer approaches, please let us know of any events your church or church group are planning over the course of this weekend or on the Day of Prayer itself (Monday 1 March).

Please also let us know of any ways in which God has spoken to you during your prayer times – any words, pictures, verses – and about the way in which you’ve used BMS prayer materials. You can also use Twitter – see the left-hand column for details.

  1. At Baptist House in Didcot BMS staff gathered to pray at 8.30 this morning (Friday 26 Feb). We were encouraged to know that we were joining in a wave of prayer that had already begun to swell in parts of Asia where BMS workers and partners were also praying at the start of their day.

Here at International Mission Centre in Birmingham, mission personnel, staff, friends from HEBA (Heart of England Baptist Association) and others will be joining together to pray through the day. We look forward to being part of the wave of prayer.

  4. Wonderful prayer breakfast at Didcot BC this morning - good food, lots of people there - great to pray for our nation and our world.

2 Chron 16:9 "the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him".

  5. We met in Kidlington at the Baptist Church to pray on Saturday morning between 10am and 12 noon. What a privelege to spend 2 hours in prayer! We covered all the areas BMS are working in with prayer. We found the Lord leading us in our prayers for the Middle East and North Africa. Such a burden of prayer for that area. Thank you for the opportunity. Allelujah the Lord has opened doors to China, once more. It was an exciting time and it didn't matter how few of God's people met during those hours as our human disappointment is washed away by our Lord's pleasure to stand in our midst.

  6. At Victoria Park Baptist Church, Bow, East London we prayed from 12noon to 2pm after our church service on sunday the 28th. We prayed for ourselves, our church, our Local Mission involving the olympics and street pastors as well as on Global Mission interceeding in prayers for the Middle East and North Africa as well as Burma and China. We were very encouraged by the numbers that participated and we know testimonies shall abound because HE NEVER SLEEPS NOR SLUMBERS! Praise to Our Lord, The Almighty. Lola.
